Can't you read the Title??? :)

This is my first blog at JoeUser.com.  I'm not new to blogging - at least not *brand* new - I've had a Blogger.com blog for most of this year.  I somewhat stopped blogging The Newbie Aquarist blog because of time constraints.  Recently, I haven't all of sudden come into a lot of time, rather I've decided that blogging didn't take up that much time - and hopefully, I won't get any further behind in work than I already was (so this is somewhat of a test).

All that said, I am new to the skinning community.  I purchased my Object Desktop - Network Edition in July, ran into some problems, was kindly helped out by "GreenReaper", and was instantly addicted to the community.  The more I used the Stardock products, and the more I talked with other users in IRC channel, the more I wanted to be involved in the community.  To that end, I purchased a WinCustomize.com subscription, and decided that my first involvement would be through testing, rating and commenting on WindowBlinds skins.  Through this involvement and help from others, I found skins that I loved, liked or even hated, and learned where to look for problems in existing skins.

Once I found a skin that I really liked - StealthOS by MikeB314 - I decided that I needed to have my whole computing environment match that one skin.  Unfortunately, my computing environment includes Trillian Pro.  I say unfortunately because I asked Mike for permission to port StealthOS to Trillian - and he gave me permission - but little did I know what I was getting myself into...

to be continued...

Not to talk you out of a chalenge, but..., Being a Trillian user myself and not liking the conflict in appearance with my chosen skins, I found another solution. Not being a skinner myself in fact when it comes to drawing, (all I can draw is "attention"!) I switch my messenger program over to "Gaim" . It is open-sourced, very well writen and it uses what ever WindowBlind skin your using at the time. Basicly it does everything that Trillian-Basic does which fulfills my needs without clashing with my desktop GUI. And I agree, MikeB314 makes some awsome skins!

Hehe, just found this after searching through old blogs - glad my help back then made a difference. It's surely been repaid by your contributions.
